Fun to see it again, now that I live 11000km away :)

I miss it... I could only wish it didn’t have 280000km, which is the equivalent of “absolutely unsaleable in Japan” or I would have brought it here with me... One of the greatest car I have owned. Very good in the snow too!! :)

Oh well, rebuilt engine everyone! Would be nice for an Oppo member to get this :)

My wife threatens divorce - or at the very least, the sale of my 4Runner - when I tell her I want to import a 600 Euro Golf from Germany... I can’t imagine what I’d get if I bought a car like this! Ha ha ha!

Yeah and to be honest I sold it to him for a bit less than 9000 CAD... Granted that he rebuilt the engine and changed suspensions but still... Massive margin lol. Everything is negociable though...

A 280000 km winter driven mullet-mobile from TR, even with a rebuilt engine, is probably not worth 15k...

Yes, it is too much, BUT, the “winter driven thing” was only done by me (full chassis clean up every month during winter), there isn’t a single rust spot on the chassis, the car was repainted 4 years ago, the leathers are 3 years old, the transmission has been rebuilt a bit after that, by ZF themselves, I changed the clutch myself 2 years ago (wasn’t necessary but I had a fork problem, so I changed it while I was there), the optispark has also been changed by me 2 years ago. On top of that, he replaced the suspensions, rebuilt the engine and fixed the on board control system which had broken buttons... He owns a garage and is a mechanic btw.

It is as close as a 280.000km Corvette will ever get from how it was when it had 20000km. If I could I would buy it back in a heartbeat... for 4000$ less :)
